About Laura

I have been in the fitness industry for over 10 years now. I began as a group fitness instructor, teaching AquaFitness classes at the Uxpool during high school and college. I then became a certified fitness instructor and specialized in HIIT training. I loved gathering with those groups to sweat together and did my best to make exercises fun and attainable. A few years later I began taking on personal training clients. Working with these women has been such a gift and I love being a part of their fitness journey. As those clients started to get pregnant, they wanted to continue exercising. So, I started my research, took some initial courses, and we set out to learn how to exercise safely during pregnancy. That initial research and education opened my eyes to a world of knowledge that is not widely known, and not just pregnancy fitness, but the postpartum recovery journey as well. I wanted to know more, and I wanted to help those I work with and know. Since then, I have acquired several certifications to equip me and allow me to be a valuable resource to my clients and friends. What I’ve learned is that this stuff goes way beyond pre/post-natal care. Anyone with a core should learn about what their core really is and about optimal function.

I am still learning, every day, but that’s what it’s all about right? The  j o u r n e y.

About my programs

I help women and men gain confidence with exercise, build strength from the inside-out, and create a sustainable rhythm of fitness.

I specialize in core rehab, full body strength training programs, and an individualized approach to meet each client's needs and goals.

I believe three of the biggest gaps in fitness today that affect your confidence with exercise are:

1. Education (you are unsure of what to do)

2. Foundation (developing a habit of sustainable fitness, knowing good form and practices to maximize confidence and minimize injury, and having a proper workout structure)

3. Individualization (programming that meets YOUR specific needs, and one that you have a say in!)

My mission is to bridge those gaps for every client so they feel confident to move well and reach their goals. I want my clients to be strong, confident movers who have fitness as a part of their everyday lives.

As your trainer, I am with you every step of the way. Your live sessions with me allow you to get feedback in real-time, as well as opportunities to learn and ask questions. In addition to your live weekly training sessions, you get an individualized home workout program that compliments your training sessions to create the most efficient path to goal achievement.

A note on pre/postnatal fitness:

In this particular season, I focus on retraining with confidence.

With all the changes your body goes through during pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and motherhood, your core needs to be retrained before it can be trained. Struggles such as incontinence, diastasis, pelvic or low back pain, and prolapse are common, yes, but should not be assumed as something you have to live with forever. You can begin to improve your quality of life by retraining your core. I use a core confidence program that retrains your inner core to work optimally and allows you to return to your desired activities and go beyond.

Does it really work?

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at laurafraserfitness@outlook.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

I am passionate about building a strong foundation, helping you be more aware of how your body moves and how to move with good form and strategies. This often requires us to look at current form and strategies and “retrain” some of those non-optimal patterns. This retraining starts with your breath and your inner core, including pelvic floor. A functional core is a game changer to movement and confidence!

I prioritize functional fitness. I want my clients to feel strong and confident in life and be able to say yes to new opportunities and goals. In order to accomplish this, we need a strong foundation (functional core and good form) as well as a regular rhythm of intentional movement and recovery. Included in my program is mobility training, strength/resistance training, and cardiorespiratory training. The ratio of these depends on your goals. Your program is reflective of your body's needs and your fitness goals.

Absolutely! It’s never too late. I work with women ages 18+. My core program helps with struggles such pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, low back pain, pelvic girdle pain, or diastasis recti. These struggles don’t just affect newly postpartum women!

Pregnancy, postpartum, & motherhood are some, but not all, of the stressors on core and pelvic floor. Improper form with exercise, tension in the body, or lack of awareness/education can all be contributors to a core that does not function optimally. My programs are effective for anyone with a core and the awareness you gain now will serve you for life!

Yes! I love working with people who would call themselves “non-exercisers”. I coach you towards making movement a habit and I am passionate about helping you move with confidence.

Clients see me 1 – 3 times per week for maximum results.

Every week you’ll be given exercises and workouts to support your growth and help you reach your goals. These exercises/workouts are assigned using my personal training software system (web page and app!) and are uploaded to your profile for easy access and completion. The frequency and intensity of those exercises and workouts are reflective of your fitness level and goals.

All training sessions are 60-minutes long.

At-home workout components range from 15 - 40minutes in length.
