I am so happy I decided to start a semi-private class with Laura. Her positivity radiates. She is very hands on, ensuring that all exercises are done correctly. She is there to teach but also push you to be able to obtain your goals. Very supportive, knowledgeable and understanding. Highly recommend.
After two plus years of working from home during COVID, along with a sciatica injury, I found my strength and energy level was very low. I was also in a lot of pain from the sciatica. I am not a fan of exercising but I knew this was the only way I was going to get back in shape so that I could enjoy a very active lifestyle. I also knew that I needed a professional fitness trainer to teach me how to exercise properly and to keep me motivated. It also needed to be simple and convenient so that I did not find excuses to avoid it. Laura Fraser was recommended to me and she has been coming to my home once a week for the past 9 months. Her training method is very effective and she met all of the above needs. She is fun to work with and I look forward to her weekly session in my home. She brought the exercise items that I needed to use so that I was able to see what I should purchase for my home use. I now have a small collection of weights, resistance bands and a Step that I can use every day.
Laura has a wide range of knowledge about how the body works. She demonstrates how to exercise effectively to prevent injury. She has proven the importance of building my core strength first. She also provides easy to understand answers to my questions. Her Fitness App with the calendar of routines is easy to follow and motivates me to keep doing it. Laura also has many plan options. I am now transitioning into a monthly check-in call with Laura as she has given me the tools and knowledge to maintain my exercise routine on my own.
Although I am still not a fan of exercising, I am a fan of the energy and mobility level I have achieved. I now have the ability and confidence to maintain my exercise routine as I know it makes me feel healthier and stronger. When I skipped too many days of exercise I felt a decrease in strength and energy. This reminds me to keep doing the daily exercises. The sciatica pain is gone as well.
I initially came to Laura with severe back pain. I’d had a back injury about a year prior and it never got better. In the summer it got really bad and I was barely able to walk, let alone work. I came to Laura to get help and hopefully be able to get back to normal. She worked with me to retrain my core and to support my back. She taught me how to correct my posture, especially in specific exercises. Even pointed out how something as simple as when to breathe can change so much. The amount of knowledge she has is so helpful. She is so passionate about what she does and is such an amazing help in injury recovery. After these past three months of working with her I am now able to get back to work and I experience such little back pain. Three months ago this didn’t seem possible, and it seemed like such a long and exhausting journey. Laura has been so encouraging and such a joy to work with. These past three months flew by. I’m sad to say my journey with her has ended, but I’m so thankful for how Laura impacted my life. I would highly recommend her to anyone starting a fitness journey or looking to recover from an injury. She is a true gem :)
Thank you for helping me unlearn years of bad workout habits and limiting thoughts. Thank you for starting from the bottom up to give me the resources to take this home with me and incorporate exercise into my very busy days. Relearning how strong my body is and what it is capable of has given me so much confidence. Thank you and it has been worth every single cent of the investment.
My training sessions with Laura were one of the best parts of my week! I started with Laura during the early part of my pregnancy. I wanted to stay active and continue working out throughout my pregnancy and was looking for the knowledge and confidence to do it in a safe way. Laura gave me that and so much more! She is so knowledgeable, highly motivating, and her genuine encouragement and feedback is so helpful. I look forward to continuing my journey with her in the postpartum phase.
This past year I have had the wonderful pleasure of training with Laura in her private training program. After 4 pregnancies close together (with 2 difficult deliveries) my body had had enough trauma and it was time to take my health back. I reached out to Laura by recommendation of a family friend and started what I believe was the beginning of my health journey. We chatted about my reasons for wanting to regain by health, my goals, accountability and expectations.
From our first conversation on the telephone I knew that Laura was the perfect fit for my health/fitness journey. She instantly made me feel comfortable and safe to discuss any health concerns I wanted to tackle and how she could assist me with those issues. Her knowledge in women’s pelvic health in that initial consultation and through the past year has been excellent and educational and extremely beneficial to my overall health.
When I started with Laura the thought of exercising was not something that came natural to me, it was scary and overwhelming; but with Laura’s encouragement, knowledge and attitude I quickly felt at ease during each session and began to look forward to meeting with her weekly and getting homework.
One of my biggest hopes with Laura was that she would be able to hold me accountable so that I could see change, so that I could have a better quality of life as a mom, wife and most importantly as a woman. Laura did just this. She was able to accommodate with check-ins/follow-ups and use a style of accountability that worked for me.
When I started with Laura I was desperate to get help. I had seen a few doctors and pelvic floor physiotherapists who told me that surgery is in my future, and it still may be, but training with Laura has assisted me in postponing that surgery. I have been able to rebuild the muscle function in my core and pelvic floor to a point where I can hopefully have one successful surgery that will last instead of multiple surgeries years apart.
I could go on and on about how wonderful she is and how much she has helped me over the past year but the truth lies in the results my body is seeing. I am now at a place where if I do not use the techniques and strategies Laura has taught me my body feels it. I will continue to work with Laura along my fitness journey as I have learned from her that fitness is a journey not a destination. There are ups and downs in which we try to navigate, all while working towards our personal goals.

Her ability to provide helpful and instructive training sessions comes from her wealth of knowledge and relational approach no matter where a client is at in their fitness journey. Laura's techniques are always catered to the individual - if something isn't resonating, she finds a new way to explain each step and ensures that you have time to ask questions or provide feedback. Laura has helped me to understand my body in a whole new way, encouraged me to feel more confident with my progress, and given me tools to help with giving birth. I'm truly so thankful for the time I've had under her training and guidance!!
I just want to say how much I am enjoying our sessions together. Primarily because you've fostered an environment without judgement and I feel safe to be myself. That's hard to come by in life in general, but especially more so when our insecurities are physical attributes. Thank you for being a safe space! Laura has provided an amazing program. I, personally, used to train a lot and have dropped off the map, per se, for quite a while. She was able to reassure and encourage me through each step of the way. She helped me learn the beauty of hard work and reaching those non-scale victories along the way. She also was able to teach and explain through a workout the ways that it can improve your mental health, but also your outlook at most things! It is not just a physical training, it goes beyond. From the weekly meet ups, to explaining how things work or should move all the way to the at-home workouts and personal homework. It is never just a class. It is more. If you are looking for a personal trainer. Someone that can, not only help you meet your goals but go beyond, Laura is the person. She is flexible but also makes sure to push you to see you reach the goals you may not have felt you could have before.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I signed up for the Retrain 101 program. I had a lot of questions about what I could and could not do safely during pregnancy, so I decided to bite the bullet and sign up. Other than getting answers to some questions I had, my goal was to learn how to achieve and maintain functional fitness during pregnancy. Working with Laura gave me the knowledge I needed and helped me achieve confidence in looking after my body during pregnancy and in the postpartum recovery process. I really appreciated that Laura doesn’t use a one-size-fits-all approach when coaching. She truly listens to each of her clients as individuals to see what resonates best with them, so that they can successfully connect the movements she’s teaching them with their own bodies. Her cheerful and positive attitude makes you feel like you actually can achieve movements that initially seem difficult. I’m excited to continue using the tools she’s given me to look after my body in the remainder of my pregnancy, and to see how they help in my labour/delivery and postpartum experiences.
Laura has coached me for a number of years now. Her personality makes you feel welcome, and comfortable in her presence, and she has this energy about her that makes you want to keep coming back.
She has helped me through 2 pregnancies, and the post-natal work and rehab that come along with it. Along with pregnancy, comes a changing body, and sometimes these changes can leave you feeling defeated and broken. Not only is she a great resource for knowledge about how to heal the body physically and support you where you are at, she helps to celebrate the small wins, the non-scale victories, and reminds you of what is truly important.
Before I started my training with Laura, exercise wasn’t my “thing,” and didn’t find joy in the movement. She helped me to find the love of exercise, push me when I wanted to get in my own way, provided compassion for the hard days, always made me feel like no matter what, I got this.
I highly recommend Laura to other women, pregnant women, new moms, seasoned moms, basically anyone looking to change their views on health. She will always meet you where you’re at, but find ways to help you grow and reach your own goals.
To sum my experience with Laura up in a sentence, she helped me rebuild my body to be stronger than ever from the inside out.
I first met Laura by way of referral when I was roughly 8 weeks postpartum with my first child. I have a long history of being active but for the first time in as long as I can remember, I was starting over. I would say I have always been very aware of my body and my limits. Being postpartum for the first time ever, I realized just how much my body had changed and just how far I had to go to get my strength and waistline back. Laura was patient with me from day 1 and diligently took the time to understand where I had come from and where I wanted to see my results go. In this phase of rebuilding I learned so much about my own body, including but not limited to, how to love and appreciate the rebuilding process. Over the course of 2 years, Laura has encouraged me to focus on form and the small adjustments to find deeper, longer lasting results. These building blocks allowed me to find new limits in my work outs. Heavier weights, more reps, reach and sustain a higher heart rate with healthy recovery, and a deeper connection to my inner core and my pelvic floor. Rebuilding from the inside out. Along this journey, she celebrated every win alongside me. It could be the smallest victory in the moment, but each of these wins have added up to the most rewarding experience. I love and appreciate my body in ways I don’t think I ever have. Laura and her training methods are the full package!
